Some new matte paintings I'm working on:

I made this piece for a CGTantra digital matte painting challenge. The topic was "across the rooftops". We had to make a night time scene, with full moon-cloudy sky.

Another matte painting from Arad. This time it's a cooperative effort of myself and Nick Giassullo. (The painting may seem distorted, but it's gonna be projected back onto geometry.)

I've made this piece for the Marine Island matte painting contest over at CGChallenges.org I won the 1st place!
One of my friends, who happens to be a writer, gave me a description of a location in his novel. I've drawn several sketches on paper, then made a tonal sketch and started matte painting. I've worked mostly in Photoshop but I also used Maya for the architecture and Mudbox for some details.
